Later this week, my last Christmas break ever will begin. Yes, I’m sure I’ll be taking vacations during the holidays in the future, but what I mean is that I will probably never have a whole month off again. This is a welcome break since I never thought I’d have one again after undergrad. But this time I’m pretty sure it will be my last. So here’s what I plan to do:
1. Relax and recharge
2. Apply for jobs
3. Enjoy time with friends and family that I haven’t had much time to see since I started grad school
4. Get back to the gym and do what I can before having hip surgery
5. Have hip surgery on January 7th. It’s not an ideal date since school starts on the 13th, but it’s the first available surgery day that my surgeon has. So I’ll be starting my last semester on crutches for at least the first couple of weeks and I’ll have to go through 6 months of rehab, but it should all be worth it when I’m back to normal after dealing with this issue for almost 2 years now.
